WHEN THE NUMBERS NEED TO STAND UP

Can your model answer the questions that matter?

You need a clearer financial picture. Assumptions are changing. Your lender, investors or board want to understand the downside. You need numbers you can explain and a model that can respond when the questions change.

You have a spreadsheet, but do not fully trust it.

Unexplained outputs, unclear assumptions or inconsistent scenarios make it harder to rely on the result.

The structure has outgrown the model.

Multiple funding sources, staged cash flows, preferred returns or joint venture arrangements are difficult to assess in a standard template.

Your team is maintaining the model instead of understanding the numbers.

Repairing links and maintaining code take time away from testing assumptions, exploring the downside and explaining the numbers.

People are reviewing different versions.

You need to know which model produced the outputs, what was checked and which version your stakeholders are using.

The funding discussion needs more detail.

Headline profit or returns do not explain how much cash is required, when it is needed or how debt will be repaid.

The deadline is real and your team is stretched.

The model competes with due diligence, negotiations and stakeholder management when all of them need attention.

THE FINANCIAL CASE

Understand your cash flow, funding and financial outlook

We turn operating, project and investment assumptions into a financial model built around the questions you need to answer.

  • See how much capital is required and when.
  • Understand the assumptions driving profit, cash flow and returns.
  • Compare base, upside and downside scenarios.
  • Test how changes in costs, revenue, timing and funding affect the outcome.
  • Present coherent forecasts to lenders, investors, boards and partners.

Your model is delivered with support to understand its outputs, so you can focus on what the numbers mean for your business, project or investment.

TENTH AVENUE + ATALO

Professional modelling with clear sharing and verification

Tenth Avenue brings accounting and financial expertise together with our technology partner ATALO to build, review and deliver your model.

Institutional quality

Financial models with the rigour, consistency and presentation needed for detailed lender, investor and investment committee scrutiny. Assumptions and outputs are organised so reviewers can understand the financial case.

Secure sharing and version control

Share your model with the right people through controlled access to clearly identified versions. Keep confidential information under control and make it clear which numbers are being reviewed.

Verification linked to a specific build

Identify the model build behind the outputs and the checks performed on it. Build IDs and verification records make the review traceable to the version being used.

Complex scenarios in real time

Explore how changes across multiple assumptions affect cash flow, funding and returns, with complex forecasts that respond in real time.

More time for analysis

Help your internal analysts focus on testing assumptions, assessing scenarios and explaining outcomes while reducing the burden of maintaining spreadsheet infrastructure and code.

HOW IT WORKS

A clear process from your requirements to your model

1. Discuss your requirements

Tell us what the model needs to support, who will review it, your deadline and whether you already have a model.

2. Agree the scope

We define the inputs, assumptions, outputs, scenarios, delivery timetable and fee before work begins.

3. Build, review and explain

We develop or review the model, check it against the agreed requirements and walk you through the results. Model access and any ongoing updates are agreed as part of your engagement.

A fee based on the modelling you need

The scope depends on your requirements, complexity, available information and required outputs. After the scoping discussion, you receive a proposal setting out the work, deliverables, timing and fee.

If you already have a model, we can discuss whether a review, update or rebuild is the appropriate starting point.

THE COST OF INACTION

Unclear numbers can hide costly problems

An incomplete view of cash flow can leave a funding gap undiscovered. A timing change can alter interest costs and returns. Different versions can lead stakeholders to discuss different financial cases.

Poorly prepared or inconsistent numbers can also undermine confidence in the business or adviser presenting them. Lenders, investors and partners may question the quality of the work behind the proposal, colouring their view of an otherwise strong deal. The financial model helps shape both how the opportunity is assessed and how its provider is perceived.

Understanding those effects helps you plan ahead, discuss funding and manage your business or project with greater clarity.

YOUR QUESTIONS

How we help you move forward

Save time, take pressure off your team and present a clearer financial picture to the people who matter.

How does Tenth Avenue save us time, money and stress when forecasting our financials?

We take the work of building and maintaining your financial model off your hands. Clear forecasts help you see cash needs, compare options and understand the impact of changes before making a commitment. That means less time wrestling with spreadsheets, fewer rounds of rework and a clearer view of where costs or funding pressure could arise.

How can you help us present our models more professionally to funders?

We turn your financial assumptions into a clear, connected story for lenders and investors: how much funding you need, when you need it, how it will be repaid and what happens if plans change. Well-presented numbers help funders assess the opportunity and reduce avoidable back-and-forth. Poor numbers can colour an otherwise strong deal; we help you present the financial case with confidence.

How does your service free up our internal team?

Your people can focus on what they are good at: running the business, assessing opportunities, building relationships and serving clients. We provide the specialist financial modelling support, working with your team on the inputs and explaining the results. You gain modelling capacity without having to make spreadsheet maintenance another internal role.

Can you help us move beyond our old spreadsheets?

Yes. Together with our technology partner ATALO, we can help you replace spreadsheets you have outgrown with a purpose-built financial model. Enjoy clearer assumptions, connected forecasts, real-time scenario comparisons and secure sharing. We plan the transition around your existing information and the insight you need, so your team can spend more time using the numbers and less time maintaining them.

How can you help us understand the financial picture before committing capital?

We help you compare options and see what changes when costs rise, revenue falls or timelines move. Whether you are planning a development, buying a business or assessing an investment, you can understand the cash required, the potential returns and where the pressure points lie. The aim is a clearer understanding of the possibilities, with the assumptions and trade-offs visible.

Can you help us avoid unwelcome cash flow surprises?

We look ahead at when money is expected to come in and when it needs to go out. That helps you see funding gaps that a profit figure alone can miss, including project costs, business expenses and investment commitments. Testing delays and other changes gives you time to consider your options before cash becomes tight.

Will our model still be useful as the business or project changes?

We build around what you need to understand and how you will use the model and agree how future updates will be handled. As plans change, we can help update your forecasts, compare them with actual results and explain what has moved. Ongoing support is available by agreement, so the model can continue to support discussions beyond the first funding submission.

Can you make it easier to share and discuss our numbers?

Yes. With our technology partner ATALO, we can help your team, advisers and funding partners review a clearly identified version of the model with controlled access. Clear outputs and a walkthrough make the assumptions and results easier to discuss, reducing confusion over competing spreadsheets and helping everyone work from the same financial picture.

Can you help when a deadline is close and our team is stretched?

Tell us the deadline, what you need to present and what information is available. We can assess the work, agree priorities and confirm a realistic timetable before starting. Specialist support helps take pressure off your team while they focus on the transaction or business; timing depends on the scope and our availability.

Can you work alongside our existing advisers?

Yes. We work alongside your accountants, brokers and other advisers, providing specialist modelling support that fits their role and your needs. If you are an adviser, we can support your client engagement while you retain the relationship. We agree responsibilities upfront so the modelling and presentation work together smoothly.

How do we get started, and what will it cost?

Tell us about your requirements, who needs to review the numbers and your deadline. Bring any existing forecasts or project information you have. We will agree the inputs, deliverables, timetable and fixed fee before work starts. Our pricing section outlines starting fees and payment options, with ongoing support available by agreement.

How funding-linked payment works

Available selectively, subject to project assessment and agreement. Pay an upfront commitment fee equal to 20% of the standard upfront price, credited against the funding-linked total.

The remaining balance is payable at the relevant debt or equity settlement defined in your engagement agreement. If that funding does not settle, the remaining balance is waived. The funding trigger, timing and when an unsuccessful funding attempt is considered closed are agreed before work begins.

ONGOING SUPPORT

Forecasting support around your requirements

By agreement

Discuss ongoing support

Final fees depend on complexity, available inputs and required outputs. Your proposal defines deliverables, revision rounds, meetings, model access and support. Existing model reviews and updates are scoped separately.
